This Shipping Policy explains how we process and deliver orders placed with Uniway Computers. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
1) Shipping Destinations
We ship to addresses within Canada only, unless explicitly stated at checkout.
We restrict shipping to PO Boxes, parcel lockers, or remote/limited-access locations depending on the carrier and shipment type (especially for oversized items or shipments requiring signature).
2) Order Processing Time
“Processing time” is the time required to prepare your order before it ships (picking, packing, verification, and carrier pickup). Processing time is separate from transit time.
- In-stock items: typically ship within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed.
- Custom-built systems: additional build/testing time may apply before shipment.
- Orders are not processed on weekends or statutory holidays.
If address verification or additional information is required, processing time begins once the required information is confirmed.
3) Shipping Carriers & Delivery Estimates
We ship using major carriers, including Canada Post, Purolator, and UPS. Carrier selection may vary based on destination, package size/weight, and service availability.
Estimated delivery times shown at checkout are carrier estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, peak seasons, carrier disruptions, or remote-area service limitations.
4) Shipping Charges
Shipping charges vary based on destination, item size, package dimensions/weight, and the shipping service selected. All shipping costs are calculated and shown at checkout before you place your order.
From time to time, we may offer free standard shipping either (a) when your order subtotal reaches a minimum amount before taxes and fees, or (b) through a promotional offer or promo code. Eligibility, minimum thresholds, excluded items/regions, and any other conditions (if applicable) will be shown at checkout.
5) Shipping Insurance (Optional)
Delivery charges do not include shipping insurance.
If you would like to add shipping insurance to your delivery order, please email support@uniway.ca to request a quote. Insurance availability, coverage limits, and pricing may vary by carrier and shipment value.
6) Tracking Information
If tracking is available for your shipping method, we will send tracking details once your order ships. Tracking updates are provided by the carrier and may take time to appear after label creation.
7) Address Accuracy & Changes
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
If you need to change your shipping address, contact support@uniway.ca immediately. We cannot guarantee address changes once an order has been packed or shipped.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect/incomplete address, refusal, or failed delivery attempts, additional shipping charges may apply to re-ship the order.
8) Delivery, Signature & Safe Drop
Some shipments may require a signature at delivery, especially for higher-value items. Signature requirements may be determined by the carrier and/or Uniway Computers based on order value, destination, and product type.
If the carrier completes delivery via “safe drop” (leaving the package unattended), delivery is considered complete once the carrier marks the package as delivered. Customers are responsible for ensuring a secure delivery location.
9) Shipping Damage
Customers are required to inspect the product for any visible physical damage or functional abnormalities promptly upon receipt.Any physical damage or missing components must be reported to Uniway Computers within two (2) calendar days of delivery.
Unless reported within this inspection period, the product will be presumed to have been delivered in good condition, excluding shipping-related damage.
Physical damage reported after the inspection period may be considered customer-caused and may not be eligible for warranty coverage, subject to Uniway Computers’ assessment and discretion.
If your order arrives damaged, contact support@uniway.ca within 48 hours of delivery and include:
- order number,
- photos of the damage,
- photos of the outer box/packaging (including shipping label).
Please keep all packaging materials until the claim is resolved. We may request additional information or coordinate a carrier inspection.
10) Lost Packages / Missing Deliveries
If tracking shows “delivered” but you did not receive your package:
- check around your delivery location (mailroom/concierge/neighbors), and
- contact the carrier for additional delivery details.
If you still cannot locate the package, contact support@uniway.ca within 24 hours of the delivery scan. We will assist with a carrier investigation where applicable. Replacement or refund decisions may depend on the carrier’s investigation outcome and proof of delivery.
11) Warranty Returns (Shipping Responsibility)
For warranty claims submitted by mail/shipping (Standard Warranty or APP, if applicable):
- Customer-to-Uniway shipping: the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the product to Uniway Computers (including packaging, insurance if desired, and applicable shipping charges).
- Uniway-to-customer return shipping (approved in-warranty claims): if the claim is approved and determined to be in warranty under the applicable coverage term, Uniway Computers will cover the cost of return shipping to the customer’s Canadian address (standard ground service).
If the claim is out of warranty, excluded, or results in “No Fault Found,” the customer remains responsible for shipping costs (both directions), unless Uniway agrees otherwise in writing.
12) Force Majeure / Carrier Delays
Uniway is not responsible for shipping delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, carrier disruptions, or other events affecting transportation networks.
